Guidelines to what is and is not actually Shaimos
Over the last few years, the JCA has taken a lead role in coordinating, funding and volunteering to bury the hundreds of thousands of Shaimos collected every year. The Agudath Israel of Baltimore is happy to be a drop off site for any community Shaimos and will properly prepare and bag them for burials which we do several times a year at the Mikro Kodesh Beth Israel Cemetery located on Bowleys Lane. To better streamline the process, we recently purchased a 40′ locked storage container on site at the cemetery to store the Shaimos prior to burials.
